The Godard Family
Hello and thank you for visiting our web site. Chances are you have heard about the Home of Hope orphanages from either us or a friend. Welcome!
Let me tell you a little about ourselves, our names are Ben and Michelle Godard and we have three wonderful sons (Jaxin, Eli & Tyler). We moved to Gongyi (in the Henan Province) on February 2007. During our time here we have been interning under Nathan Bell (the founder of the Home of Hope orphanages) and learning all there is to know about running an orphanage. There is not as of now, an “Idiots Guide to Running an Orphanage”. (Believe me, I’ve looked). So to learn all we must, we spend as much time as possible at the orphanage. We try to absorb everything from bookkeeping to how to deal with getting surgeries for babies with cleft lip. We are currently working on opening Home of Hope Number Three which in all likelihood will be located in Southern Henan Province.
We are very excited to be doing this work, helping the orphans of China, and we thank everyone for helping us make this a reality!
